The Mission of Risk Management, Environmental Health & Safety Services, and Emergency Management is to effectively address the University's liability, financial, operational, compliance, and reputational risks in support of the University's teaching, research, community outreach and service learning goals and objectives.

The Vision of Risk Management, Environmental Health & Safety Services, and Emergency Management is to continually improve its service to the University community, to protect the University's human, intellectual, physical and financial assets and resources, to help maintain a safe and healthy campus environment, to develop and facilitate emergency management best practices, to assist and educate departments in meeting health and safety regulatory compliance-related responsibilities, and to promote a risk-conscious climate in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of the University.
